Further Information
The Field Gun run at the Royal Tournament was a tribute to the men of HMS Powerful who, in 1900, transported their 4.7in guns from Durban to Ladysmith to help in the relief.
There is a second memorial to the Portsmouth Field Gunners by HMS Victory in the Historic Dockyard.
For more information about the Royal Tournament run see The Royal Naval Museum website.
