Further Information
Richard Marvin lived in Grove Lodge, Grove Road, Southsea. At the time of his death he owned, amongst other land, the Havelock Field which ran between what is now Campbell Road and a line north of Albert Road (at the slight bend in Chelsea Road) on which shortly after his death Albert Grove, Victoria Grove, Wilson Grove and Chelsea Road were built up with modest houses.
