SERVED IN THE CRIMEAN CAMPAIGN 1855, MEDAL
                   CLASP AND TURKISH MEDAL
SERVED IN THE CHINA WAR OF 1857-60, MEDAL
                   AND TWO CLASPS
 
DURING THIS WAR HE WAS TWICE WOUNDED
HE SUBSEQUENTLY RECEIVED THE GOLD
MEDAL FROM THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT
IN RECOGNITION OF ACTIVE SERVICES
