Location

There are a number of standards in the church, mostly suspended from the North and South walls. These standards have been laid up in the church for safe keeping.

These standards are above the plaque for Lt.H.Tryon but bear no relationship to it.

3. Old Contemptibles Association - Portsmouth Branch
The Old Contemptibles were, officially, men who qualified for an oak leaf attachment to the 1914 Star by serving up to and including the 22nd November 1914. For more information see: www.1914-1918.net/regular.htm

5. 1st Army 1942-43 Portsmouth Branch

6. 8th Army O.C.A.

WAR MUSEUM AND WAS HANDED OVER BY
Major C.FFOULKES, CURATOR & SECRETARY
OF THE IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM, CURATOR TO
THE TOWER OF LONDON ARMOURY.
 
A SERVICE WAS HELD IN THE
ROYAL GARRISON CHURCH, WEDNESDAY
FEBRUARY 12th 1930 TO LAY UP THE FLAG.
