Further Information
This plaque was almost certainly one of those fixed to Memorial Benches in the nave. Some slight doubt arises because of the entry in the Guide to the Church which describes a plaque to Lieutenant Colonel, The Hon. Granville Cornwallis Eliot. It has been established that Eliot had both Charles and Granville as forenames and that a Captain Eliot was killed at Inkermann. The Guide also notes that the Bench plaque was presented by Lord St Germans.
