Further Information
Corporal Beagley was the son of James Evelyn and Mary Jane Beagley, of 4, Tredegar Rd., East Southsea, Portsmouth. He is buried in the Kranji War Cemetery which is 22 kilometres north of the city of Singapore, on the north side of Singapore Island overlooking the Straits of Johore.
He is remembered on the Portsmouth Cenotaph in Guildhall Square.
