Location
This memorial is situated in the wall of the walkway from Pembroke Road towards the sea front between Pembroke Gardens and Governors Green near the Royal Garrison Church.

These horses were buried here by Lord Fred Fitzclarence Relinquishing the command of the South West District And Lt Governorship of the fortress 1851.

There is obviously a query over the age of Comus.
