The memorial to the dead of WW2 was added c1990 as there was no other memorial to these parishioners.
 
The entries for RF and CH Rickett on the WW1 memorial refer to non-existant persons. The entries are badly copied duplications of RF and CH Pickett on the same memorial.
 
Vickers, Eric L (Leslie on CWGC site) was 2nd. Lieutenant Rifle Brigade 8th Bn who died on 8/1/1917. He was the son of the Rev. Nathanael Vickers MA and Mary Vickers of St Simon's Vicarage Southsea and the husband of Jean Vickers 96 Shrewsbury St., Old Trafford, Manchester. He enlisted in 8th Rifle Brigade as a Private in 1914, was commissioned in the field and is buried at St Sever Cemetery Rouen.
 
Mitchell, Alexander Goble was Lieutenant, Middlesex Regiment 4th Bn. att. 6th Bn. He was aged 20 years when he was killed on 30/5/1918. He was the only son of the late Sir Thomas and of Lady Mitchell of 37 Salisbury Road Southsea.
 
Rittey, Arthur Edwin was Chief Petty Officer (Pensioner) aboard HMS Bulwark and died age 41 on 26/11/1914. He was the son of the late William & Mary Rittey, Brockhurst, Gosport & Husband of Eva M Rittey of 2 Coastguard Station South Parade Pier.
 
Tilbury, Herbert Walter was 2nd. Lieutenant, 7th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment. He was age 21 years when he died on 5/9/1918. He was son of Mr WG Tilbury, 63 Victoria Road South, Southsea and is buried in Lebucquiere Communal Cemetry Extension, France. His name also appears on the Circus Church Parishioners Memorial.
 
Tilbury, Robert William was 2nd. Lieutenant, 95th Squadron, RFC and was aged 26 when he died on 18/3/1918. He is buried in Highland Road Cemetery and his name also appears on the Circus Church Parishioners Memorial.
