This memorial lies close to the Southern Boundary of the cemetery, immediately to the west of the entrance gate from St Mary's Road, at the base of the memorial to the men of HMS Thunderer.
This small granite plaque appears to have become disassociated from a larger monument and is now (April 2002) lent against the base of an unconnected memorial. As there was no one by the name of Arthur Ernest killed aboard HMS Black Prince at the Battle of Jutland it must be assumed that we have only the first names and that the surname is missing.
